Daunais McKay + Harms is one of Calgary's most respected boutique law firms. After 10+ years in their space, DM+H sought to refresh the look and feel of their client-facing spaces. Like many small corporate reception areas, their first impression to visitors was poorly-lit with green/yellow lighting, and dull - lacking visual interest or contrast. JWA worked within DM+H's limited budget by strategically renovated key impact areas.

First, by replacing the solid meeting rooms with a glass demountable system by Dirtt, daylight was allowed to enter the reception area. The lighting was further improved with re-lamping existing light fixtures.

Second, the over-sized, cumbersome reception desk was replaced with a modular USM solution that combines chrome supports with high-gloss metal panels to create site-specific desks.

Finally, a light finish palette was introduced to revitalize the space without becoming cold. Warm wood tones and soft accent colors make the reception comfortable and approachable - perfectly suiting DM+H's family law clientele. See more images here.
