Black Diamond relocated several disparate company departments into a single block of contiguous space in late 2016 hoping for improved communication but also a refreshed company culture. Working directly with the leadership team, JWA encouraged Black Diamond's vision through a change management process built around new forms of collaboration.
The resulting interior space has been an overwhelming success. Black Diamond staff and their guests/clients interact with each other in the collaborative area immediately adjacent to reception. Meeting facilities, a staff kitchen, and an internal staircase are also accessed from the collaborative area.
The Black Diamond project was a strategic renovation with much of the interior design being modified or re-finished versions of the previous space's architecture. Through creativity, the limited budget was met.
